Big bear Boris caricature

In 1995, Russia was at war with Chechnya. To the Chechens, President Boris Yeltsin was a big, dangerous bear.

I've always wanted to draw a polar bear! I immediately jumped into action... :-)

First some small size tests...

Then... on a larger scale... further figuring out how to do it...

A color test is always highly desirable ...

Everything is set here ... now carefully trace this sketch on my light box on sturdy Steinbach paper (250 gr/m²) ...

... and finally start painting with watercolors (on A4 format).
